This series of works is the result of searching for my own illustration world. It is a combination of abstraction, the human face and narrative elements. Everything is multiplied by organic, abstrakt forming a kind of pattern.
In the age of information overload and digital content, we are losing our personality. We are being outdone. We become a pattern, clumped together from random elements devoid of individuality. We also lose our emotions, which we often don't know how to express by hiding behind colorful content. As an artist, I also try to define illustration as somehow a medium that is on the border of art and design. I ask myself where is its proper place?
Works from the Organic Faces series made it to the finals of the "Hiii Illustrations 2022" international competition organized by Hiiibrands in China. They received an honorable mention and the Merit Awards. They have also qualified for the international "Intercontinental Bienale" in which they are presented in Colombia, Argentina and Brazil. In addition, they are also taking part in the international online exhibition "Form Speak" organized by Berry Boy Art Gallery.
In order to increase the patterning effect and to present an assemblage of elements, I started experimenting with different prints. By combining different structures and materials used in commercial and fine art printing. Each color and element is printed and created different material. I further emphasize the blending of these two worlds by bringing my work to the next level of patterning.
